Choosing a Reserva wine opens the door to another dimension. These wines are more savory and complex, with tannic balance and an elegant and velvety mouthfeel.
In our Reserva you will find notes of riper fruit combined with balsamic and toasted aromas, characteristics that hint at the time spent in barrel.
Elegant and smooth in the glass, but you are instantly flooded with caramel sensations, flavors of currants, blackberries and violet hard candy, so characteristic of the Maturana Tinta variety. With a creamy finish reminiscent of chocolate and vanilla.
TIM ATKIN: There are only a few notes of Maturana Tinta in this wine, along with 94% Tempranillo and 4% Garnacha, but you can see its presence. Young, refreshing, and lightly toasted with the classic freshness of the Badarán area. Black cherry and strawberry with a light herbal background.
Tempranillo 94%, Garnacha Tinta 4%, and Maturana Tinta 2%.
18 months in barrel and 26 months in bottle. French oak.
A classic of traditional popular cuisine that captivates by its simplicity and where the quality of the ingredients is essential. Sautéed onion, tomato, and red bell pepper forms the base where the cod fillet is cooked. A unique fusion is achieved between the sea and Riojan gardens.
Classic hand harvest, destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in small, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, separated by variety. Subsequent aging, also separately, in new French oak barrels.
For their final few months in barrel, the three varieties were blended to age together for their last stage of aging.
